The Purchasing Division is charged with the following responsibilities:
Assuring fair and equitable treatment to all vendors without regard to political pressure
Contracting for all repairs to property
Purchasing supplies, materials and equipment
Supervising all purchases made through competitive bids
It is the Purchasing Department’s responsibility to procure materials, equipment, supplies and services through the competitive bid process from the lowest responsible bidder or bidder offering the best value in accordance with all city policies and state and federal laws.
