Administration

Where is the Administration Department located?

The Administration Department is located at City Hall, 7105 Whitley Road.  City Hall is located between the old city hall and library on Whitley Road.  It is located north of the fire station.

What services are provided through the Administration Department?

The telephone number is (817) 514-5800. The Administration Department includes the City Manager’s Office, Executive Assistant to the City Manager, Management Information Systems, Human Resources, City Secretary’s Office, Assistant City Secretary’s Office, and the Reception area.  This department also provides administrative support to the City Council, as well as to the boards, commissions and committees of the City.

What are your hours?

Regular office hours of operation for the Administration Department are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.  The department is also open outside of regular office hours to assist with public meetings, public information and in response to community needs.

May I get copies of a Birth and/or a Death Certificate at City Hall?

No.  Vital Statistics must be obtained through the Tarrant County Clerk's Office

Where can I get information about city elections?

The City Secretary is the Elections Administrator for City elections.  Her office is located at City Hall.  She can be reached at (817) 514-5812.

How do I get registered to vote?

You can get a voter registration application from City Hall, 7105 Whitley Road and from the Watauga Public Library, 7109 Whitley Road.  Once the information is completed, send the application to the Registrar of Voters, 100 W. Weatherford Street, Room B-90, Fort Worth, TX  76161-9817.  You can also submit the form online by clicking here

I have moved.  How do I change my voters’ registration?

If you are a registered voter in Tarrant County and you have moved to another address within the county, you can change your voter's registration by completing the information on the back of your voter's registration card.  Then mail it to the Registrar of Voters, 100 W. Weatherford Street, Room B-90, Fort Worth, Texas  76161-9817.  If you do not have your voter's registration card, you can send a letter to Gayle Hamilton to request to change your voter's registration to the new address.  You can also change your address online by clicking here. How can I speak to the City Council Members?

You can contact the City Secretary’s Office to request contact from the City Council.  You must submit a Request to Speak Form to the City Secretary prior to the City Council Meeting (or at the City Council Meeting).  You may speak during the Citizen's Open Forum at the next Council Meeting.

How can I get an item on the City Council Agenda?

The City Secretary has a form you can fill out to request a Council Member to sponsor the item on an agenda.  If a Council Member sponsors the item, it is placed on the agenda.

How may I obtain copies of public information?

You may fill out an Open Records Request Form and turn it in at the receptionist desk at City Hall, 7105 Whitley Road. You may also put your request in writing, sign it, and mail it to the City Secretary.  For more information, call (817) 514-5812.

How do I get on the bidders list?

Register as an interested vendor on our website by filling out the Online Subscribe to Bidders List Form on the Purchasing webpage.  You can also send the information to Deby Woodard, Purchasing Agent, 7105 Whitley Road, Watauga, Texas 76148 or fax (817) 281-1991.  The City uses DemandStar for bids.  Information is available on the Web site at DemandStar.

How do I get a permit for off-premise beer or for mixed beverages?

For an application with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, call the local office at (817) 451-9466.  Contact the City Secretary’s Office at (817) 514-5812 for information for the City permit.

How can I file a liability claim?

Contact the City Secretary at City Hall, 7105 Whitley Road.  Claim forms are available at the receptionist desk at City Hall.

How do I volunteer to serve on a board?

You can print an application by clicking here or you can pick one up at the receptionist desk at City Hall, 7105 Whitley Road.
