Animal Shelter Volunteers will fill out a Volunteer
Application, attend the Volunteer Orientation and sign the Volunteer
Release Form before working at the Animal Service Center.

Volunteers will sign up for one (1) hour of volunteer
work for a minimum of four (4) weeks as an introduction to the Volunteer
Program.

Volunteers under eighteen (18) years of age shall be
accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All volunteers shall sign in on arrival and sign out
before leaving the Animal Service Center.

Volunteers shall be well-groomed and maintain a neat
and clean appearance while working at or representing the Animal Service
Center.

Volunteers shall wear a name badge at all times while
working at or representing the Animal Service Center.

Volunteers will be assigned to one or more of the
following job descriptions:

Kennel
Assistant
-
Office Assistant
-
Lost and Found Specialist
-
Grooming Specialist
-
Adoption Assistant- Offsite Adoptions

Special Events Volunteer

Volunteers will be trained by Animal Services Staff
to perform the duties of the individual job descriptions.

Volunteers shall not be
allowed to view, participate, or assist in the euthanasia of any animal.

Volunteers shall not be allowed to view, participate, or assist in the
disposal of any deceased animal.

Volunteers will follow Shelter Policies and
Procedures at all times.
