The
Watauga Crime Control and Prevention District was created and a local sales
and use tax of 1/2 of one percent was adopted for the purpose of crime
reduction programs. The City Council members are the Board of Directors of
the Crime Control and Prevention District. Meetings for the Crime Control
and Prevention District are called as needed and are held in the City
Council Chambers at City Hall.
