TRAINING WORKSHOP

Notice is hereby given that a training workshop for elected officials, board members and city staff who have not completed the Open Meeting and Public Information training, will be held on Monday, October 16, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, 7105 Whitley Road, Watauga, Texas.
Said training is being held pursuant to Section 551.005 of the Government Code, which requires that elected or appointed public officials who are members of a governmental body subject to this Chapter, shall complete a course of training regarding the Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act. This training must be completed prior to January 1, 2007.
A training workshop was held on Monday, October 16, 2006 in regards to the Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act. The members of the City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Charter Review Commission, Library Board, city staff and other interested persons that attended the training were as follows:

Mayor Jeffries called the training workshop to order at 6:32 p.m.
The two training videos regarding the Open Meetings Act and the Public Information Act, which were provided by the Attorney General of Texas, were shown.
With there being no further discussion, Mayor Jeffries closed the training workshop at 8:44 p.m.
