Online Utility Payments     

The City of Watauga recently enhanced its on-line bill payment site to provide better customer service.  Customers are now able to view past water consumption levels and perform service requests including re-reads of meters.  City of Watauga utility billing includes water consumption, sewer services, trash collection services, and an optional library donation.  Payments made on-line currently can only be made with Visa or MasterCard.  A $1.75 handling fee will be charged on all payments made on-line.  Do not pay on-line if your water is disconnected or is subject to disconnection!

The new system is in real-time and allows partial payments as well as overpayments on water accounts. It also allows customers to pay more than one account at a time.  Existing customers who have used the previous on-line payment system should have their information transferred to the new system.  First-time users will need to set up an account.

The product used by the City of Watauga is called InSite and was developed by Tyler Technologies for the express purpose of providing real time information and interaction with the public.  InSite uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption.  SSL technology is the industry standard method for protecting web communications and is set for a 128-bit strength.  More security information can be found on the payment site.  Customers will need to know their account number and the amount of their last payment to access information.

In Person:

The City accepts payments in person of cash, check, money order, or credit card at City Hall located at 7105 Whitley Road, and at the water tower office located at 7800 Virgil Anthony Sr. Blvd., Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.  Payments by check or money order are also accepted at the 24-hour drop box located at City Hall.  A $3.00 convenience fee will be charged on all credit card transactions made in person.

Bank Draft:

To pay your utility bill by bank draft, a bank draft application must be completed and returned to the City of Watauga.

By Mail:

Payments by check or money order can be mailed to the City of Watauga, P.O. Box 48310, Watauga, Texas 76148.

Over the Phone:

Payments made over the phone currently can only be made with Visa or MasterCard.  A $3.00 convenience fee will be charged on all credit card transactions made over the phone.  Contact the Utility Billing Department at (817) 514-5705.
