Monthly
Brush & Bulk Item Pickup |
Watauga residents will receive bulk and brush
service one time per month. This service will occur on Monday and your
scheduled day will be determined by which of the five (5) sections of
the City you live in (see
Service Map). Brush trimmings must be securely tied together and
not exceed four (4) feet in length or fifty (50) pounds in weight.
Limbs shall be stacked with trunks parallel to the street and behind the
curb, so as not to block the street nor the sidewalk. Bulk
refuse items are items that do not fit in your cart. However, hazardous
waste, construction material, and remodeling debris will not be
collected.
In order for CWD to pick
up fence panels and fence materials, the panels shall be cut in half and
shall not exceed a 4 feet by 8 feet dimension and shall not weigh more
than 50 pounds. Loose pickets and posts shall be cut in half not to
exceed a 4 feet length, tied in bundles, and not weigh more than 50
pounds.
In order for CWD to pick
up carpet/pads, the carpet/pads shall be cut in lengths of no more than
4 feet when rolled up. Each roll of carpet/pads shall be tied and shall
not weigh more than 50 pounds.
Waste consisting of
building materials resulting from construction, replacement, remodeling,
repair or demolition operations in a residential or commercial location
are considered to be “construction debris” and shall not be picked up
with regular bulk items that are approved for collection. Individuals
wishing to have “construction debris” removed will have to make special
arrangements with CWD, as well as pay additional fees to CWD for
collection of “construction debris”. For more information or to
schedule a special pick up, contact CWD at (817) 795-9300, Option 2.
Do not discard or recycle common household hazardous materials in your
cart or recycle bin.

option of purchasing additional carts. Please contact CWD at (817)
795-9300, Option 2 for arrangements.
For residents moving into newly constructed homes or into previously
occupied homes, please call
