Overview
A crucial part of the Public Works Department, the Streets and Storm Drain Department oversees the maintenance and repair of all city streets and right-of-ways.
This includes the repair of pot holes and broken or sunken areas in the roads, planned construction through street overlay projects, repair and replacement of curbs, gutters, and valley gutters for drainage. In addition, they repair concrete storm drains, mow and weed eat earthern drainage channels, trim unwanted trees and shrubs, and make regular scheduled sweeps of city streets. This is designed to maintain all city right of ways and keep them free from debris, litter, and the effects of regular use.
