Responsibilities include supervision of animal control staff and the animal shelter, Training of staff, purchasing, administration of Rescue Groups, various shelter computer work and euthanasia.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Administrative Secretary 

Responsibilities include processing of the majority of all transactions and legal documents pertaining the animals housed at the shelter, communicating with shelter patrons and citizens concerning policies, ordinances and state laws, adoption promotion and marketing as well as assisting the Supervisor as needed.

Shift Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Animal Control Officer

Primary responsibilities include the health and safety of all pets within the City of Watauga and animals housed at the shelter, investigations, court appearances, City ordinance enforcement, rabies control, community education and shelter maintenance.

Shift Hours: Sunday - Wednesday, 7a.m. - 5p.m.
