Animal Services Advisory

Overview

The Animal Services Center Advisory Committee shall serve in an advisory capacity and is established by the City Council to assist in complying with the requirement of the Health and Safety Code, Chapter 823. The advisory committee must be composed of at least one licensed veterinarian, one county or municipal official, one person whose duties include the daily operation of an animal shelter, and one representative from an animal welfare organization. Meetings are held at least three times a year per Section 823.005 (c) of the Health and Safety Code.

Meetings are called as needed and held at City Hall.

Agendas, Minutes and Streaming

Agendas are posted at least 72 hours prior to the meeting, as required by state law.  Minutes are posted after they have been formally approved by the committee.  Meetings are live streamed at the time the meeting is held.  On-demand streaming of meetings is generally made available within one day following the meeting.
