The Watauga Public Library offers a variety of classes for adults ages 18 and up. Space is limited. All of our classes are free. Childcare will not be provided.
GED Classes
Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00am to noon
GED prep classes are taught by a professional educator provided by the Fort Worth Independent School District. The class has specific registration periods. Please call the Adult Education and Literacy Call Center at 817-402-7555 for more information.
Birdville Independent School District ESL Class
Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 12:15pm to 3:15pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 12:15pm to 3:15pm
These classes are taught by professional educators provided by the Birdville Independent School District. Please call the Reference Desk at 817-514-5865 to be placed on the waiting list for the next registration period.
ESL Reading, Writing, Speaking Class
Tuesdays from 10:15am to 12:00pm
The ESL Reading, Writing, Speaking Class is for adults with intermediate to advanced English-language skills. The class is open to any student with the correct skill level. No registration required. (no summer classes)
ESL Conversation Club
Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Adults 18 and older are invited to practice their speaking and listening skills. This class is for the Intermediate to Advanced student. Students should be able to hold a conversation in English to participate.
Computer Classes
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Computer Basics classes are taught when staff or volunteers are available. Classes are advertised in the Library’s monthly newsletter. Call 817-514-5865 to be added to the waiting list.
