  • Brainfuse - Online eLearning for students of all ages, as well as job-seekers. Live tutors are available Monday-Sunday, 2:00pm - 11:00pm!  The Watauga Public Library offers three different products to cardholders.  First, The Adult Learning Center, offers test preparation (including GED and the U.S. Citizenship Test), expert writing lab, study tools and a unique academic skills center featuring live online tutors.  Brainfuse HelpNow provides personalized homework help in core subjects(math, reading, writing, science and social studies) including SAT preparation.  Lastly, Brainfuse JobNow offers users live interactive online help combined with online resources to guide you through the necessary task to get a job.  
  • Pronunciator - An on-line language learning program free of charge to WPL card holders. With 80 languages to choose from and ESL courses in 50 languages, Pronunciator is focused on quickly building conversational skills through a combination of interactive on-line drills, scored quizzes, and down-loadable audio lessons and phrasebooks. Each language course has a minimum of 1,500 phrases to learn, and most have 10,000 phrases. If you’re on-the-go, Pronunciator offers free apps for iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets. The apps have the same functionality as the web-based version of Pronunciator.
  • Learning Express Library - Learning Express Library provides access to over 350 practice tests including SAT, GED, ASVAB, TAKS, AP and U.S. Citizenship. There is a section for Spanish speakers that includes reading, writing, math and GED preparation. It also includes practice tests for civil service and vocational career certification.   • USA Learns - A free site for immigrants and other adults wanting to learn English and improve basic reading, writing, speaking and life skills.
  • Universal Class - Has a growing course catalog of over 500 online classes in over 30 subject areas, many of which offer continuing education units (CEUs).
  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services - Learn about applying for citizenship, find resources for studying for the test, and more! This site is maintained by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
