The recent holidays have revealed a dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases on the city, county and national levels. In an effort to keep our citizens and employees safe, the closing of City of Watauga buildings will be extended through the end of January to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
City staff will remain available during regular business hours to help residents over the phone (817.514.5800) and by email for services such as water payments, citation payments, permits, public information requests, etc. Online options and additional contact phone numbers are available on the City’s website.
Buildings will be closed to the public starting on Thursday, December 24, 2020 due to the City holiday and will reopen on Monday, January 11, 2021.
In addition to the closure of City buildings all Council and Board meetings will be held virtually during the month of January.
The City’s plan to close facilities does NOT affect local Watauga business operations.
Thank you for your cooperation as the City remains vigilant in our efforts to keep our employees and citizens healthy and safe.
