Mayor Pro Tem's Message

March is the beginning of a new Spring.  The official start of Spring is March 20. March signals hope, new beginnings, a time to renew our commitments, to look optimistically toward the future, and to throw off Winter.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

Watauga is truly “A Great Place to Live”!  Let’s commit to being a good example in our neighborhoods by beautifying our property, reaching out to our neighbors and resolving to being good citizens.

Politics is in the air.  State and national elections will determine who leads us.  It is very important to participate in the process.  If you are not registered to vote, please visit Tarrant County Elections Administration and register to vote.  April 5 is the last day to register to vote in our local Watauga elections.  It is important that Watauga citizens exercise their right to vote.  We have an active local election this year.  You can go on-line to the Elections page on the City Website to see who is running.

National Small Business Week

The United States Small Business Administration has announced April 20 - May 5, 2018 as National Small Business Week.  For the 4th year, the City of Watauga is planning to participate in activities that recognize our small hometown businesses.  A business luncheon is planned as well as announcements on social media.  We want your input in the planning of another successful Watauga Small Business Week.  If you would like to contribute ideas for this week of recognition, please contact Denise Wilkinson at 817.514.5813 or via e-mail. If you would like to share photos of your business when you opened or even before you built your business with a small history, we can post them on our FaceBook page.
