The Homework Help Center is open during the school year and offers help with homework at no charge to students in the 1st-6th grades. Parents must register their students, registration forms are available at the Youth Services Desk or you can download it at https://www.cowtx.org/913/Homework-Help-Center. Volunteers aged 16 to adult, especially those bilingual in English/Spanish and English/Vietnamese, are needed for the Homework Help Center.

The Arts Council Northeast Masterworks Series presents a North Central Ballet production of The Nutcracker. Come enjoy the magic of the Nutcracker, experience a visit from Santa and don’t forget to stop by the craft table! The Center for Home Education will also provide music of The Holiday Season for your enjoyment. As you leave, check out Santa’s special friends waiting to take him back to the North Pole! A wonderful holiday family evening is planned for you at the Library! The Library will be closed at 5:15pm and re-open at 6:15pm in order to prepare for the program.

The Police Explorer Post is a program for youth, ages 14 to 21, that aspire to have a career in Law Enforcement. The Police Explorer program will further the Explorer's education by providing the member with the basic knowledge of the field of law enforcement, thus providing the Explorer with a "head start" in the field of law enforcement.

Prevention of crime through proactive measures and in partnership with our citizens is of the utmost importance to the Watauga Police Department. The Watauga Police Department’s Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program may encompass any present or future activities or organizations (Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association, Neighborhood Watch, Explorer Post, etc.) whose volunteers work in partnership with the Department to provide some level of service toward the welfare of the community.

WizArt is a volunteer group of art students from the Art Wheel Studio located in Roanoke, TX. They will be offering free art classes on the third Friday of each month to children 5 to 12 years of age. All supplies will be provided. Spaces are limited to 25 per class - first come, first served.
