The Library will be closed starting Friday, March 13th at 2pm and will remain closed.
Staff will be available to answer the phone, Monday and Tuesday only, 10am - 6pm through May 1. As of May 4, Library staff will be available to answer the phone Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm.
The book drop is currently closed and all items previously checked out are not due until May 13. We will update you soon as to when the book drop will be reopen.
Curbside checkout to begin May 11 at 10am. Please keep checking our website and social media for updates.
Our closing at this time is in consideration of the health and safety of the community and staff.

Yes! You can make a face mask. If you can't sew we'll show you how to make a no-sew mask with a t-shirt. If you have a sewing machine, we'll show you how to make another version.
This video will be posted on the Watauga Public Library page on Sunday, May 3rd at 3:00pm.

Prevention of crime through proactive measures and in partnership with our citizens is of the utmost importance to the Watauga Police Department. The Watauga Police Department’s Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program may encompass any present or future activities or organizations (Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association, Neighborhood Watch, Explorer Post, etc.) whose volunteers work in partnership with the Department to provide some level of service toward the welfare of the community.
