Free Smoke DetectorIt is a proven fact that smoke detectors save lives. With very few exceptions, most fire fatalities occur in homes without a working smoke detector. The Watauga Fire Department wants to ensure that you and your family remain safe in the event a fire occurs within your home. To accomplish this, the Fire Department, in conjunction with a grant from Walmart, is offering all Watauga residents without a working smoke detector a free detector to be installed by a member of the Fire Department staff. To qualify, you must be a Watauga resident without a working smoke detector. Please provide your information and a Fire Department Representative will contact you to arrange an install date and time. |

Vacation House Watch ProgramThe City of Watauga Police Department hopes you and your family have a safe and pleasant time on your vacation. We will make every effort to watch your property closely, but due to the volume of requests we are very often unable to check each residence daily. It is important that you have a trusted friend, neighbor, or relative check your property regularly, removing accumulated mail and newspapers. If your absence is going to be extended, please make arrangements for someone to mow your yard and alter the lights left on inside the house, thereby giving the appearance the residence is occupied. Completing the form below will allow us to contact you or your designee in case of an emergency. |
